This Privacy Policy explains how Jude Bowers, doing business as Saltly Leads ("Saltly," "Saltly Leads," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Saltly Leads website and application (the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Contact details for updates — your email address and, optionally, your phone number when you sign up for product updates, join a coverage waitlist, or request that we cover a new area.
  • Payment information — when you subscribe or buy credits, payment is processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive limited billing details (such as the last four digits of your card and billing status) but do not store your full payment card number.
  • Communications — information you provide when you contact us for support.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Usage data — how you interact with the Service, including pages viewed, features used, and leads you reveal, used to operate and improve the Service.
  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, and similar technical information.
  • Cookies — we use cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate the Service, such as keeping you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Business listing data. The Service's core product is a database of business listings compiled from publicly available sources. This data generally consists of business contact information rather than personal consumer data. In some cases, a business listing may include information about a sole proprietor or individual; we treat such data as business information used for business-to-business purposes. If you are a business owner and wish to have your listing reviewed or removed, contact us at hi@saltlyleads.com.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including granting and tracking credits and lead reveals;
  • process payments and manage your subscription;
  • communicate with you about your account, transactions, and support requests;
  • send you product updates, new-coverage announcements, and marketing communications where you have opted in (see Section 3);
  • monitor, analyze, and improve the Service, and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Marketing Communications and Consent

Email. If you opt in, we may send you marketing emails (product updates, new features, data drops). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We will continue to send non-marketing, transactional messages (such as billing receipts) as needed to operate your account.

SMS / text messages. If you provide a phone number and consent, we may send you recurring automated marketing text messages. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies.

We will only send marketing email or SMS to the channels you have opted into, and we honor opt-out requests promptly.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service, under contracts that limit their use of the data. These currently include: Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Mapbox (mapping). We may also use email and text-message delivery providers to send communications you have opted into.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
  • With your direction. We share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including access controls and processing payments through a PCI-compliant processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to opt out of marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hi@saltlyleads.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.

  • Marketing opt-out: unsubscribe via any marketing email, or reply STOP to any text.
  • Account information: you can update or request deletion of your account information by contacting us.

8. Third-Party Links

The Service may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (and not from children under 13). If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
